This piece is a followed up on my series Urban Resemblance, where I use electronic cities to recreate cityscapes. "Device" is a floor sculpture that depicts an electronic device at a much larger scale. It is made completely out of discarded/recognizable materials which create engagement. There is a great similarity between aerial views and electronic circuits that I like to let loose and highlight, in order to provoque intrigue around this coincidence and spark cheerful conversations.
Best in show at the "RE-Produce" group exhibition that focus on artist working with discarded elements curated by Lisa Rockford at Bailey Contemporary Arts.
